The operation was carried out by the state’s anti-Maoist Hawk Force along with local police teams in a dense forest near the Chhattisgarh border, said Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Dabar. The gunfight took place approximately 90 kilometers from the district headquarters in the Supkhar Forest Range under the Garhi Police Station area.

Security Forces Neutralize Three Maoists

An official statement said the Hawk Force and police neutralized three hardcore Maoists in an encounter near the Ronda Forest Camp. The forces recovered an INSAS rifle, a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR), and a .303 rifle, along with other essential supplies used by the Maoists.

While the encounter resulted in the deaths of three insurgents, police officials believe that some Maoists were injured but managed to escape.

Massive Search Operation Underway

Following the encounter, security forces launched a combing operation with twelve police teams deployed to track down the fleeing Maoists. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and further details are awaited as the operation progresses.
